I Don't Care

Thought you might like to read this letter to the editor of a British national newspaper. Ever notice how some people just seem to know how to write a letter? Here is a woman who should run for Prime Minister!

Written by a housewife, to her daily newspaper. This is one ticked-off lady.

'Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores in July 2002, and in New York Sept 11 2001 and have continually threatened to do so since?

Were people from all over the world, not brutally murdered that day in London; and in downtown Manhattan; and in a field in Pennsylvania; at Godhra; in Bombay; in Delhi; in Calcutta and elsewhere?

Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they?

And I'm supposed to care that a few Taliban were claiming to be

tortured by a justice system of the nation they come from and are

fighting against in a brutal insurgency.

I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11 , 7/7 and 26/11.

I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible and the Bhagawat Geeta, the mere belief of which is a crime punishable by beheading in Afghanistan.

I'll care when these thugs tell the world they are sorry for hacking off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.

I'll care when the cowardly so-called 'insurgents' in Afghanistan come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques and behind women and children.

I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of Hoor ki pariyan (angels to consort with in heaven) care about the innocent children within range of their suicide bombs.

I'll care when the British media stops pretending that their freedom of speech on stories is more important than the lives of the soldiers on the ground or their families waiting at home to hear about them when something happens.

In the meantime, when I hear a story about a British soldier

roughing up an Insurgent terrorist to obtain information, know this:

I don't care.

When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take this to the bank:

I don't care.

When I hear that a prisoner - who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and 'fed special food' that is paid for by my taxes – is complaining that his holy book is being 'mishandled,' you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts:

I don't care.

And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled

'Koran' and other times 'Quran.' Well, believe me!! you guessed it.....

I don't care!!

If you agree with this viewpoint, pass this on to all your E-mail friends. Sooner or later, it'll get to the people responsible for this ridiculous behaviour!

If you don't agree, then by all means hit the delete button. Should you choose the latter, then please don't complain when more atrocities committed by radical Muslims happen here in our great country! And may I add: 'Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a

difference in the world. Our soldiers don't have that problem.'

I have another quote that I would like to add, AND.......I hope you forward all this.

Only five defining forces have ever offered to die for you:

1. The British Soldier.

2. The Canadian Soldier.

3. The US Soldier,

4. The Australian Soldier and

5. The Indian Soldier
Remember there are many, many muslims too in these five forces!

YOU MIGHT WANT TO PASS THIS ON, AS MANY SEEM TO FORGET ABOUT ALL OF THEM.

I just' love this woman....and the day every Indian thinks this way, we'll win the war against jihad and all that crap.

THE SWING VOTE: DON’T JUST VOTE, MAKE IT COUNT

There is a myth that the Educated Civil Society, being small in numbers, can not influence the electoral outcome. Consequently majority of us are not motivated to engage with the political class and even abstain from voting because we believe that we are too small in numbers to change the ways of Indian politics. However, a closer analysis will reveal that in this age of coalition politics, with so many parties and candidates, victory margins are very small. In fact, most MPs win by margins of just few thousand votes.
Another myth is that Indian politics is decided by rural India. Hence issues relevant to the city dwellers and educated civil society are of no relevance to political parties as they do not need urban votes to come to power. The fact is that 2009 Lok Sabha will have 120 MPs (out of 543) from Urban Areas. Just concluded delimitation of constituencies has dramatically increased the number of urban constituencies, which will further grow as India urbanizes. 120 is a huge number, given the coalition politics where Mrs. Mayawati with potentially 50 MPs will have the real possibility to stake the claim for Prime Minister’s post.
We also need to note that in 2009 elections we have more than 10 Crore First Time Voters, mainly in urban areas. Compare this with the vote difference between Congress and BJP in 2004 Lok Sabha Elections – 98 Lakh.
ELECTIONs-2009 are DIFFERENT in many ways! Post 26/11 people are willing to get out and get counted. We have the real opportunity to MAKE A DIFFERENCE, this time around.
Each major party and candidate have their own committed vote bank based on ideology, caste, religion, region or language which they nurture and hold by giving sops, favours, appeasement and promises. So during the elections, what all political parties need and fear most are the SWING votes, which usually decide the winner. It is not difficult to bring together 25,000-50,000 educated people in each parliamentary constituency as SWING VOTE BANK, who will vote based on the issues of “Good Governance & Economic Development”. These ‘Educated Swing Votes’ will make every political party reach out to them and ask for their issues to be included in their agenda.
Now the question is, how do we organize these educated people, analyze & interact with major candidates/party and make an informed decision to VOTE with a real possibility of having a winner of our choice.
Use of technology will make it possible, Obama has shown it working. We are technology savvy and quick to adapt.

Mumbai attack plotted on our soil: admits Pak

Ten weeks after the terror attacks in Mumbai that shook the world and sent India-Pakistan relations in deep freeze, Islamabad finally owned up that "a part of the conspiracy" was hatched in the country.
India welcomed as "positive" Pakistan's probe, but reminded Islamabad to take "credible action" and "dismantle the infrastructure of terrorism" in its territory.
Pakistan's Interior Minister Rehman Malik said at a crowded news conference in Islamabad that the terrorists, who slaughtered some 170 people in Mumbai in November and who India says were Pakistanis, were "non-state actors" - meaning, the Pakistani establishment had nothing to do with the massacre that has been roundly condemned around the world.
"This is an individual act, act of individuals or non-state actors. Their purpose is to create terror for their own motives. These motives need to be determined. Both India and Pakistan need to work it out," Rehman said. "A part of the conspiracy has been done in Pakistan," the minister admitted, "but a major part was shaped in India."
He said a first information report (FIR) was registered in Islamabad Thursday. The FIR has named nine people, including Zakiur Rahman Lakhvi, leader of the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba, Ajmal Amir Kasab, the lone surviving attacker captured during the Mumbai mayhem, as well as Javed Iqbal of Barcelona who had allegedly played a role in funding the attackers.
"The incident happened in India but part of the conspiracy has been done in Pakistan. Therefore, it is abetting conspiracy and facilitation. Anybody (Pakistani national) who directs or conspires to do an act of terrorism abroad is deemed to have done so in Pakistan," Malik maintained.
"The alleged mastermind has been located and is under investigation," he said, without giving out his name.
He added that a total of six men have been arrested in Pakistan for their links with the Mumbai massacre. These included Lakhvi of the LeT, which did the "planning" of the attacks.
All these "have given us a complete picture. Obviously these accounts lead to the (terrorist) leadership also", Malik said.
This is the first time Pakistan has admitted the involvement of its nationals in the terror attack on India, breaking the patterns of repeated denial and obfuscation in the past.
Welcoming the Pakistan probe, the Indian external affairs ministry said in a statement: "In their official response, the Pakistan authorities have admitted that elements in Pakistan were involved in the terrorist attacks on Mumbai."
"They are still in the process of investigating the attacks, and have taken certain actions including the arrest of some of those who were involved and filing a first information report," the ministry said. "This is a positive development," it added.

Responding to Pakistan's demand for more information and material relating to the Mumbai atrocity, India also agreed to examine the issues and will share whatever it can with Pakistan.
New Delhi, however, made it clear that it was determined to pursue the Mumbai attacks to its logical conclusion and asked Islamabad "to take credible steps to dismantle the infrastructure of terrorism in Pakistan."
"It remains India's goal to bring the perpetrators of the terrorist attacks on Mumbai to book, and to follow this process through to the end," the ministry said. "We would also expect that the Government of Pakistan take credible steps to dismantle the infrastructure of terrorism in Pakistan," it stated.
The Indian government's response came after Pakistan's Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir gave Islamabad's official response to India's dossier to New Delhi's High Commissioner Satyabrata Pal. India had given a dossier to Pakistan Jan 5 containing material that established connection between elements in Pakistan and the Nov 26 Mumbai attacks.
Pakistan, under increasing pressure to crack down on Islamists who have virtually taken over large areas bordering Afghanistan, had initially sought to deny any links with the 10 terrorists who sailed to Mumbai by sea from Pakistan Nov 26 and then went on a horrific killing spree that lasted three days and traumatised a nation.
Nine of the terrorists were killed and Kasab was captured. India said the terrorists were linked to LeT, which has reportedly had close links with the Pakistani intelligence.
"Our leadership is fully concerned and serious in bringing all the culprits to justice," Malik said. "I would like to assure the government of India, the people of India, we are with you."
The minister said Pakistan desired more information from India. He said a set of 30 questions has been sent to New Delhi through its envoy in Islamabad. These included fingerprints of all the dead terrorists and also better pictures of the men who were killed by Indian commandos.
"It's a positive step," commented Lalit Mansingh, a former foreign secretary. "The government should take it seriously and consider answers to some of their questions to bring the perpetrators to justice."
"At least they have admitted that part of the conspiracy was hatched in Pakistan," he said.
Analysts noted that the admissions come a day after the visit of Richard Holbrooke, US special envoy to Pakistan and Afghanistan, and in the wake of President Barack Obama's telephone call to President Asif Ali Zardari.
"International pressure seems to have worked on Pakistan," said K.Subrahmanyam, India's pre-eminent strategic analyst. "They have accepted handlers were in Pakistan."

I can do it, you can do it, India can!

I could not resist sharing the following incident that has happened during Action 2020 - UnConference.

The Event was held in Ramakrishna Mission Higher Secondary School (South) at T Nagar. The School was working for half a day. Dr Kalam was scheduled to address the participants over phone after 2.30 PM. Few of the students who came to know that Dr Kalam would be speaking
over phone, stayed back and ere waiting to listen to Dr Kalam.

Dr Kalam came online over phone at 3 PM and interacted for nearly 22 minutes. At the end of the interaction session, he wanted the participants to repeat along with him - "I can do it; We can do it; India can do it". The enthusiastic participants repeated this mantra along with Dr Kalam three times and ended with Jai Hind.

One of the 10th standard student Mr Venkatraman, who was present there listening to Dr Kalam's interaction session, came to us and asked us whether there was any student group amongst the participants. Immediately, we connected him to Kalam Nagappan, Founder of Young Helping MInds, a group of nearly 500 students.

Immediately, the student told us," Sir, I have in my hundi around five thousand rupees, saved out of the pocket money given by my parents. Now the entire money, i want to spend to the society and to the Nation. I do not want to spend lavishly."

It was so exciting to see how the mantra, " I can do it, We can do it, India can it" administered by Dr Kalam could change the mind of an young boy towards National development.

This incident has proved one important aspect. We have lot of youth amongst us with commitment and fire. What they need is only proper guidance and opportunity. There is a great task ahead of us.

There is a lot of spirit and committed in changing the indian system.. yes dear friends we have to reach the goal of sos mumbai.

Jai Hind !!!

Time to Reject the Directionless UPA government and Elect a Responsive NDA Government at the cent

Indian today appears to be on the brink of what might be a protracted recession. Over the last few months the so called economic boom bubble of the UPA government has literally burst. Be it the share market, high growth rate, booming economic activity in the manufacturing, services or agricultural sectors, all macro economic indicators have dramatically slowed down, begun to show declining trends and painting a gloomy picture of our economy.

Today the country is going through this difficult phase because we have a paralysed and directionless congress led UPA government at the centre for over four and half years. The pathetic performance of the UPA government has created an unprecedented situation of chaos in critical areas of governance. Be it the continuous acts of foreign sponsored terrorism and a vitiated atmosphere3 of internal security, economic downslide, problems in agricultural sector and farmers suicides, rising unemployment especially in the unorganised sector, the Congress ked UPA government has lacked in both ideas and initiative to find solutions to any problem. With every passing day the problems facing the nation are scaling upwards.

The Congress Party has a history of coining attractive slogans to befool the public and then doing nothing before coining another slogan to divert the attention of the people from their actual performance. The Garibi Hatao slogan of the 1970’s achieved nothing. After coining Indira Lao Desh Bachao, the country infact plunged into the vortex of terrorism. The Ikkisvi Sadi Ki Oor during the tenure of Rajiv Gandhi needs to be viewed against the backdrop of the massive scandals such as Bofors, HWD submarine scandal that followed. Now the much touted Congress Ka Haath Aam Admi ke Sath, clearly shows the Congress has only made illusionary promises and delivered nothing. Infact the plight of the touted Aam Admi of the Congress Party is clearly there for all to see. With the Lok Sabha elections round the corner, one should not be surprised if the Congress dumps its Aam plank and coins yet another slogan to confuse another section of society.

The 26/11 incident in Mumbai was not just another terrorist incident. It was nothing less than an open war on India and this should be dealt with in the same spirit. However, despite clinching evidence about Pakistan’s role in this attack, nothing concrete has emerged over the last two months. All that we witness is a cacophony of confusing and often conflicting statements emanating from various responsible quarters of the UPA government. The time for a war of words is over. The time is now for action.

The BJP is confident that the people of India will completely reject the directionless Congress led UPA government and elect a responsive NDA government at the centre. In the six years of NDA rule we have displayed to the entire nation that we indeed can solve the problems facing the country and in Shri L.K. Advaniji we have a prime ministerial candidate with the experience to do so.

With regard do Karnataka, today the state has both a credible and stable government sensitive to the people’s aspirations. Our party’s vision is to transform Karnataka into a model state of good governance and development that not only outshines all other states in South India on every parameter of socio-economic development but also emerges as a shining beacon for other states of the country to emulate. I am confident that under the dynamic leadership of Shri B.S. Yeddyurappa, Karnataka will achieve this target in the shortest possible period of time.

I am also satisfied to note that the Karnataka government has already initiated strong action against the unacceptable act of hooliganism that took place in Mangalore yesterday. The BJP condemns this incident in totality. However, it is unfortunate that our political opponents and the so called secularists suffer from a “RSS-BJP PHOBIA”. They tend to level allegations without even verifying the facts.

NO VOTE

Ever since public outcry against 26/11 is increasing a mail is widely
in circulation through E-mail.It reads as follows-

"Did you know that there is a system in our constitution, as per the 1969 act, in section "49-O" that a person can go to the polling booth, confirm his identity, get his finger marked and convey the presiding election officer that he doesn't want to vote anyone!

Yes such a feature is available, but obviously these seemingly notorious leaders have never disclosed it. This is called "49-O".

Why should you go and say "I VOTE NOBODY"... because, in a ward, if a candidate wins, say by 123 votes, and that particular ward has received "49-O" votes more than 123, then that polling will be cancelled and will have to be re-polled. Not only that, but the candidature of the contestants will be removed and they cannot contest the re-polling, since people had already expressed their decision on them. This would bring fear into parties and hence look for genuine candidates for their parties for election. This would change the way, of our whole political system... it is seemingly surprising why the election commission has not revealed such a feature to the public....

Please spread this news to as many as you know... Seems to be a wonderful weapon against corrupt parties in India... show your power, expressing your desire not to vote for anybody, is even more powerful than voting... so don't miss your chance. So either vote, or vote not to vote (vote 49-O) and pass this info on...

"Please forward this mail to as many as possible, so that we, the people of India, can really use this power to save our nation". Use your voting right for a better INDIA. "
